PACK THE BUS
WOW Welbourn ! Your contributions today were amazing. You have certainly filled lots of people`s buckets with all your donations . There will be a lot of happy people at Christmas, when they receive their parcels, not to mention the food for the animals. Ka rawe tatou! These gifts you have given today are most definitely appreciated and will certainly make a difference.
Student Writing
Another of our talented writers at Welbourn. This time we have Zoe Salazar, a year 5 student from room 11 sharing a piece of narrative writing.
Science in action - River study.
Hopefully you will have heard about the learning your child has undertaken this term in our Science study of the Te Hēnui. It was wonderful to hear all the excitement over what they had found in the river. Follow up in class, saw some wonderful data gathering and observational drawings from room 2, Pandora`s, Frank`s , Elanur`s and Kelvin are shown below .
It is clear that the students now have a strong understanding about this important feature, which we are lucky enough to have on our doorstep.
Cat in the Hat
During the Summer break the New Plymouth TSB Showplace is bringing us Dr Seuss`s CAT IN THE HAT. See below for further details.
Seedling Sale each Friday
Every Friday of this term we will be holding a produce, seed and seedling mini-market.
When: Friday afternoons after school.
Where: At the criss-cross seats under the majestic kauri at the front of the school.
Why: To raise some funds for our Garden to Table adventures in growing, harvesting, preparing and sharing and to share our wonderful efforts with our community and spread the love of growing our own healthy food.
